A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER, KRISTY DAVIES-SUMPTER

Quarter 1 has been and gone, and for many, April is the start of a new financial year. So let's get honest with ourselves:

What has the first part of the year actually produced?

More leads?
Better quality conversations?
A stronger pipeline?
Greater confidence in what is ahead?

Or has it mainly been a blur of client work, firefighting and good intentions around sales that never quite became consistent action?

If you're not happy with your results, it is most certainly not too late to reset.

That is exactly what I want this month’s newsletter to help you do.

Take stock. Tighten up. Move forward.

The rest of the year will be shaped by what you choose to change now.

A Reset Needs Action, Not Intention

You know something needs changing in sales:

Consistency. More leads. Less stress around where the next opportunity is coming from.

But knowing it and changing it are two very different things.

A reset is not deciding to “focus on sales more.”

A reset is changing behaviour.

It is blocking time in the diary for prospecting.
It is following up instead of overthinking.
It is asking clearly for next steps.
It is making sales part of the weekly routine.

So here is your challenge for April:

Choose one sales habit that is hurting results and fix it.

That might be:

• No regular prospecting time booked in
• Slow or inconsistent follow-up
• Avoiding direct conversations
• No visibility of your pipeline
• Letting client work crowd sales out completely

Pick one. Improve it. Repeat weekly.

Stronger habits and higher standards will pay off.

The Power of Referrals

Some of the best sales opportunities do not come from cold outreach, clever marketing or chasing strangers. They come from trust.

From people who already know your work, value what you do and feel confident recommending you to others.

Referrals are often overlooked because they feel too simple. But they one of the fastest ways to create leads.

Ask for 3 referrals in the next week:

Step 1: Choose 3 to 5 happy clients or strong contacts.

Step 2: Send a simple message asking if anyone comes to mind who may value a conversation about how you can help them to achieve a specific goal.

Step 3: Make it easy by explaining exactly who you help, so they can work out who is a good fit.

Step 4: Give them a specific way to introduce you, so they don't have to guess.

Add this to the diary as an exercise you can repeat on a monthly basis.

THE SALES PLAYBOOK - September Edition
A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER, KRISTY DAVIES-SUMPTER Here’s a question I frequently ask when I’m speaking or training: If every prospect you’re currently talking to said “no” tomorrow, what would you have coming in behind them? Be honest. Would there be another group of opportunities waiting in the wings? Or a whole lot of nothing? This is where the feast-and-famine sales cycle often starts. We get b...
THE SALES PLAYBOOK - August Edition
A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER, KRISTY DAVIES-SUMPTER   “There’s no point doing much sales activity. Everyone’s on holiday.” Have you found yourself saying this during August? It’s an easy trap to fall into. The pace changes. People are away. Diaries are disrupted. And before you know it, most of August has disappeared with prospecting and follow-up sitting on the back burner. But there’s still time t...
THE SALES PLAYBOOK - July Edition
A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER, KRISTY DAVIES-SUMPTER   Every day, we ask our prospects to make decisions. We ask them to invest. To trust us. To take action. To stop putting things off. But before we ever speak to a prospect, we've already had another conversation. The one with ourselves. "I'll do it this afternoon.""They're probably too busy.""I'll send that follow-up tomorrow." Does that sound fami...
